PROJECT MANAGEMENT - CLICKUP

YOUR CLIENT PORTAL

When you’ve booked into my schedule, we’ll stop using email to have our conversation, and we’ll start using my project management tool, ClickUp.

A project management tool is a secure space online where we have conversations, share files, set reminders, and create to-do lists.

Whereas files often get lost when managing projects through email, nothing gets lost or forgotten in ClickUp. It’s the simplest way to keep your project organised and make sure it goes as smoothly as possible!

Don’t worry - you won’t need to pay for this tool, and it’s not hard to use. Click on the video below for an example.

YOUR CHECKLIST

Before I start your project, you need to...

1. Fill in and complete the questionnaire. Not many people enjoy filling out questionnaires, but I need some background information about you and your visions for your project to be successful. You would have been emailed a link with your onboarding email.

2. Explore ClickUp. my project management tool, you will find tasks assigned to you.

THE PROCESS

CONNECT

We'll connect over on ClickUp on your very own project board and also use Slack messaging. Once you have done your homework, we will have a pre-project call to discuss any last minute questions and your project.

DESIGN & DEVELOP

The fun begins! I'll dive deep into your project and start learning about your business, goals, audience and competitors. I will work my magic, creating your brand or working on your marketing, ensuring that we are hitting all those goals we set out.

DELIVERY

I'm so excited for you! All of your fabulous new files and deliverables are ready, and your brand is primed to make a BANG in your industry.

FEEDBACK GUIDELINES

I appreciate straightforward and simple feedback. It helps me clearly understand your thoughts and make the right changes to your designs.

Here are a few tips on providing awesome feedback:

  • Try and use bullet points to break up your feedback.

  • Use headers to organise feedback.

  • Read over your feedback to make sure it’s clear, and check that you’ve answered any questions I may have asked.

  • Post your feedback as a comment on the relevant ClickUp discussion instead of emailing me directly. Back and forth emails can get tiring but communicating in ClickUp is a breeze!

  • If you have team members that would like to add their feedback, I kindly ask that you gather the feedback into one message. This stops everyone from getting confused and keeps the project organised.

COMMUNICATION & TIMELINES

To help keep your project on track to finish on time, please provide all feedback within 2 business days of hearing from me.

I really appreciate your effort to provide files and feedback on time and to communicate within the times and days outlined below. Timeliness from both of us will help us get your project done on (or even before!) the deadline so you can move on to the next exciting task on your to-do list, and I can cheer you on.

  • I work Tuesday - Friday, 9am - 4pm. All correspondence takes place during those work hours. I don’t discuss work on evenings, weekends or holidays except in some cases, and I don’t expect you to do this either. Weekends are family time and holidays are for relaxation!

  • The payments in your payment plan have due dates. You can view the due dates on your invoice and in your client portal. We will notify you when your payment is due! However, if you’re late with providing payment, then I reserve the right to withhold project delivery until all outstanding project fees and assessed penalties are paid in full. Payments that are not received within 14 days of the original due date will incur a late fee of 5%, starting on the 14th day. A 5% late fee will apply every 7 days after the 14th day until payment has been made.

  • My design comes with a set of revisions where you review the design and request changes to be made. If you use up all your revisions and need more, that’s no problem! Extra revisions are billed at my hourly rate of $75 +gst. Because of that, I have never had a client go away with a design they don’t like.

  • As a small business owner, I’m sure you understand how important it is to keep this project on track for its deadline. I appreciate your timely feedback on mockups because it helps us to stay on track! If your project does go over its deadline, your final payment will still be due on the original deadline date. You can view the due date of your final payment on your client portal under your invoice.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

After you’ve completed everything on your checklist, we’re all set to begin your project!

I’ll contact you a couple of weeks before your start date to arrange a meeting where we can discuss your homework, and I can answer any last-minute questions you may have.

I look forward to working with you!
